A Taiwanese company claims to have developed a revolutionary next-gen transparent mobile phone which claims that it will be on the market by the end of the year.
Polytron Technologies has begun marketing a transparent multi-touch phone.
When the phone is in off mode, the a translucent composition, but when turned back on they re-align to form icons, text, and other inages.
Sam Yu, General Manager at Polytron Technologies, said, “It will happen near the end of 2013. Trust me,”
Not all the components are transparent though. The SD card, SIM card, Microphone, Camera, and batteries are all visible; however, they will all be hidden behind a dark glass cover when the model goes into production.
According to Yu, Polytron Technologies will be developing a smaller lithium ion battery to be a lot less noticeable. Once finished, the phone will have a dual-sided multi-touch display in front and back.
The prototype phone has yet to feature any software or operating system, according to reports.
