Today, Samsung has announced that they are releasing a smaller, lower-end version of the popular Galaxy S4 Mini with a 4.3 – inch screen.
Samsung has continually released smartphones with larger and larger screens; however, not every consumer is ready for the 5-inch screen of the Galaxy S4. This newer smaller Samsung Galaxy s4 will be more focused to the cost-conscious buyers, but the company has not announced the price for the new device or when it will hit the stores.
Even though the new device shares a lot of the same software features as it’s older sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the hardware for the device is a step down.
The smaller model will be lighter, at only 3.8 ounces compared to the 4.6 ounce weight of its predecessor. It will ave a 1.7GHz dual-core processor instead of a 1.9GHz quad-core model. Its battery has been rated at 1,900mAh instead of the 2,600mAh of the Galaxy S4.
